On October 24, 2018, I was a presenter for the Mississippi Nurses Conference in Biloxi. The topic was “In This Moment: an exercise in awareness, leadership communication and self-care.” This particular topic is an implementation of my translational research in intersubjectivity, mirror neurons, and Discovery Reflective Communication and the Discovery Professional Development Pathway.
As usual, there was a lot of laughter….most healing…and sharing!
What a wonderful experience for me!
I was so please when I went back to see the participants list, how many were from schools of nursing across the state and even from out-of-state. The work we are doing has been labeled as leading edge in nursing leadership, education and clinical care by the reviewers at Advances in Nursing Science. My article on this subject has been accepted for publication in the Spring Journal on Innovations in Nursing. I was so pleased by our participants. We had double the number who were anticipated. My thanks to those who stood, and others who brought chairs!!!!! Your kindness did not go unnoticed!
